About the Role
We are looking for a creative, energetic, and highly skilled Video Editor Intern who is passionate about creating engaging digital-first video content.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of video editing, social media content, performance advertising, motion graphics, and AI-powered content creation.
You will work closely with our Brand, Content, Design, and Marketing teams to create high-impact videos for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Performance Marketing campaigns, Product Launches, and other digital platforms.
We are looking for someone who doesn't just know how to edit videos, but understands what makes people stop scrolling, watch, engage, and take action.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing & Content Creation
Edit engaging Reels, Shorts, social media videos, performance ads, product videos, and brand content.
Convert raw footage, product assets, images, and existing content into polished video creatives.
Create multiple versions and variations of videos for different campaigns and platforms.
Understand pacing, hooks, transitions, music, storytelling, and retention while editing.
Repurpose long-form content into engaging short-form videos.
Stay updated with trending editing styles, viral formats, transitions, and social media trends.
2. Performance Marketing Creatives
Create video advertisements designed specifically for Meta, YouTube, and other digital advertising platforms.
Understand the importance of the first 2–3 seconds / scroll-stopping hook in performance creatives.
Experiment with different hooks, opening frames, CTAs, pacing, text overlays, and video structures.
Create multiple creative variations for A/B testing.
Work with the marketing team to understand which creatives are performing and incorporate learnings into future edits.
3. Motion Graphics & Visual Effects
Create engaging text animations, typography, transitions, lower-thirds, call-outs, and motion graphics.
Have working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for creating dynamic visual elements.
Enhance product features and USPs using motion graphics and visual storytelling.
Create clean, premium, brand-consistent animations.
4. AI-Powered Video Creation
Experiment with AI-powered tools to enhance and speed up the video creation process.
Use tools such as Runway, Pika, Adobe AI tools, Kling, Higgsfield, or similar Generative AI platforms.
Explore AI for:
Video generation
Image-to-video
Background generation/removal
AI visual effects
Voiceovers
Auto-captioning
Video enhancement
Creative experimentation
Stay updated with emerging Generative AI tools and AI video trends.
5. Social Media Content
Understand content formats across Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Meta Ads, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
Create platform-specific edits in formats such as 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, and 16:9.
Understand trending audio, meme formats, visual trends, and fast-paced social media editing.
Help the team create fresh and culturally relevant content ideas.
6. Post-Production & Quality Control
Perform basic to intermediate color correction and color grading.
Ensure proper audio levels, music synchronization, sound effects, and clean sound design.
Maintain smooth transitions and professional finishing across videos.
Export videos in the correct resolution, aspect ratio, file size, and format for different platforms.
Ensure all videos follow brand guidelines and visual consistency.
Must-Have Skills
Video Editing: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software.
After Effects: Basic to intermediate understanding of motion graphics, text animation, and visual effects.
Social Media Editing: Strong understanding of Reels, Shorts, trending formats, hooks, pacing, and retention-based editing.
Performance Ad Editing: Basic understanding of how digital ads differ from regular social media videos.
AI Video Tools: Hands-on experimentation with Generative AI / AI-powered video or image tools.
Storytelling: Ability to turn raw footage and assets into a clear and engaging visual story.
Sound Design: Basic understanding of music selection, sound effects, audio synchronization, and audio balancing.
Creative Eye: Good sense of typography, composition, visual hierarchy, transitions, and aesthetics.
Speed & Adaptability: Ability to work on multiple creatives and adapt quickly based on feedback.
Good-to-Have Skills
Basic knowledge of Photoshop / Illustrator
AI image generation
Basic 3D / Blender / Cinema 4D knowledge
CGI / VFX experimentation
Product video editing
UGC-style advertisement editing
Meme/trend-based editing
Basic understanding of performance marketing metrics

Students or recent graduates from Design, Animation, Film, Media, Communication, Advertising, or related fields
Self-taught video editors with a strong portfolio are also encouraged to apply.
Previous internship experience is preferred but not mandatory.
A strong portfolio / showreel demonstrating editing skills is mandatory.
