Job Description: Business System Analyst
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business System Analyst who can independently drive and execute — someone who doesn't need hand-holding to take an idea from concept to a live, working AI solution. The role requires strong hands-on capability to build AI solutions end to end using Microsoft Copilot, GPT-based agent builders, and Power Automate, with deep exposure to legal tech and compliance use cases, to drive process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders across functions to gather, analyze, and document requirements for system enhancements and new initiatives
Own the end-to-end build of AI solutions — use-case scoping, prompt/flow design, agent configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-launch tuning
Design, configure, and deploy AI-powered agents/chatbots using Copilot Studio, GPT Agent Builder, or similar low-code/no-code AI platforms
Translate business problems into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows for technical teams
End-to-End AI Capabilities (Hands-On)
Conversational AI / Copilot: Microsoft Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio (topics, entities, generative answers, actions)
Agent Building: GPT Agent Builder / custom GPTs, OpenAI Assistants, multi-step and multi-agent orchestration
Prompt Engineering: system prompt design, few-shot prompting, prompt chaining, guardrails and grounding
Integrations: connecting agents to enterprise systems via APIs, Power Automate, Power Platform connectors, or MCP-style tool/plugin integrations
Knowledge Grounding: RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) setup, knowledge base/document indexing, SharePoint/Dataverse grounding
Automation: Power Automate flows, workflow orchestration, and process automation tied to AI agents
Testing & Governance: UAT of AI agents, prompt evaluation, accuracy/quality tuning, responsible AI and data governance considerations
Deployment & Adoption: publishing agents to Teams/web/enterprise channels, monitoring usage, iterating based on feedback
Drive stakeholder alignment across multiple business units, balancing competing priorities and timelines
Conduct gap analysis between current-state and future-state processes; recommend system/process improvements
Support UAT planning, execution, and sign-off for new features and enhancements
Create clear documentation — BRDs, process maps, training materials, and release notes
Act as the primary liaison between business users and IT/development teams throughout the project lifecycle
Identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven efficiency across business workflows
Support change management and end-user adoption for newly deployed tools and agents
Required Skills & Experience
4–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst, preferably in a technology or shared-services environment
Proven, hands-on experience building AI agents/solutions end to end (not just configuration) using Microsoft Copilot (Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio) and GPT-based agent building platforms
Proven experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across senior and cross-functional audiences
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Working knowledge of process mapping, requirement-gathering frameworks, and agile/scrum methodologies
Familiarity with enterprise systems (CLM, CRM, ERP, ITSM, or similar) is a plus
Self-starter with a go-getter attitude — comfortable operating with ambiguity and driving initiatives independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Agile/Scrum is a plus
Prior experience in legal tech, enterprise transformation, or shared-services functions is an advantage
