Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Finacle Developer to design, develop, customize and support Finacle Core Banking solutions. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Finacle 10.x or 11.x, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Java, APIs, Unix/Linux and banking-system integrations.
The role involves working closely with banking stakeholders, functional consultants, architects, testing teams and external vendors in a remote delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and customize Finacle Core Banking functionalities according to business requirements.
Work on Finacle 10.x/11.x customization, enhancements, product configuration and defect resolution.
Develop and modify Finacle menus, scripts, batch jobs, reports, workflows and interfaces.
Build and maintain integrations between Finacle and payment systems, digital channels, CRM, AML, middleware and other banking applications.
Develop REST/SOAP APIs and web services for internal and third-party integrations.
Create and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, packages and database objects.
Support Finacle modules covering CASA, deposits, lending, payments, customer information and branch operations.
Analyse functional specifications and convert them into technical designs and development solutions.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, debugging and performance optimization.
Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution and production deployments.
Participate in data migration, validation, reconciliation and cutover activities.
Troubleshoot Finacle application, interface, batch-processing and EOD/BOD issues.
Prepare technical specifications, deployment documents, release notes and support documentation.
Follow secure coding, version-control and change-management practices.
Provide production support and participate in incident, problem and root-cause analysis.
Collaborate effectively with distributed teams and provide required client-time-zone coverage.
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Finacle development experience.
Strong development experience in Finacle 10.x and/or Finacle 11.x.
Experience in at least one end-to-end Finacle implementation, upgrade or migration project.
Strong knowledge of Finacle Core Banking architecture and customization.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL.
Strong experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, XML and web technologies.
Experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
Understanding of banking processes such as CASA, deposits, lending, payments, customer management and branch operations.
Experience with SIT, UAT, defect resolution, deployment and production support.
Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Finacle Integrator, middleware or API-management platforms.
Knowledge of payment systems, SWIFT, NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI or international payment interfaces.
Experience with Finacle CRM, Payments, Lending, Treasury or Digital Banking.
Exposure to data migration, reconciliation and Finacle version upgrades.
Experience using Git, Jenkins, Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow or similar tools.
Knowledge of application security, banking compliance and audit requirements.
