Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Legal Head to lead the legal and litigation function for our Real Estate and Infrastructure business. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in handling high-stake litigations, land and property matters, regulatory compliances, and strategic legal advisory for large-scale real estate/infrastructure projects.
The role requires strong exposure to litigation management across various judicial forums including High Courts, RERA, Consumer Forums, Arbitration matters, and preferably matters before the Supreme Court of India.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the overall Legal & Litigation function for the organization.
• Handle and strategize complex litigations related to:
o Real Estate
o Land acquisition
o Property disputes
o Contractual disputes
o Consumer matters
o Regulatory matters
o Commercial and civil litigation
• Coordinate and work closely with Senior Counsels, external law firms, and advocates across forums.
• Manage court matters before High Courts, RERA Authorities, Consumer Forums, Arbitration Tribunals, NCLT, and other judicial/quasi-judicial authorities.
• Draft, vet, review, and negotiate:
o Sale Deeds
o JDAs/JVs
o Lease Agreements
o Construction Agreements
o Commercial Contracts
o MOUs
o Vendor & Infrastructure Contracts
• Conduct legal due diligence, title verification, and risk assessment for land acquisition and project development.
• Provide strategic legal advice to leadership on business-critical matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws including RERA, land laws, property laws, company laws, and local regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with government authorities, registration departments, development authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Drive legal risk mitigation and dispute resolution strategies.
• Lead and mentor the internal legal team while ensuring effective litigation tracking and reporting mechanisms.

Desired Candidate Profile
• LLB from a recognized university; LLM/CS will be an added advantage.
• 18+ years of relevant experience in Real Estate / Infrastructure / Construction sector.
• Strong exposure to litigation management and court matters.
• Experience in handling matters before High Courts is mandatory.
• Exposure to Supreme Court matters will be highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in:
o Land acquisition
o Title due diligence
o Real estate documentation
o Litigation strategy
o RERA compliance
• Prior experience working with reputed real estate developers/infrastructure companies preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to independently manage critical legal matters and advise senior leadership.
