Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (Mobile) to join our Product Engineering team and own features end-to-end across both Android and iOS for Tamasha's app ecosystem. You'll build performant, reliable native Android experiences in Kotlin while driving shared React Native modules that power both platforms, working closely with product, design, and backend teams to ship at a fast, startup pace.

Key Responsibilities
Feature Ownership & Architecture
Design, build, and ship features end-to-end across Android and iOS
Build and maintain shared React Native modules and screens used across both platforms
Write native Android code in Kotlin where platform-specific work is required
Make sound architectural decisions (MVVM/Clean Architecture) that keep the codebase scalable as we grow
Performance & Quality
Own app stability, performance, and crash-free rates across Android and iOS
Write clean, testable, well-documented code and review teammates' pull requests
Diagnose and fix complex bugs across devices, OS versions, and network conditions on both platforms
Collaboration & Mentorship
Partner closely with product, design, and backend engineers to plan and ship features
Contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and engineering best practices
Mentor junior engineers and interns on mobile development
What We're Looking For
Must-Have
2-4 years of professional experience building native Android apps in Kotlin
Hands-on experience with React Native shipping features to both Android and iOS in production
Strong understanding of mobile app architecture (MVVM/Clean Architecture)
Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous data handling
Experience with Git, CI/CD, and collaborative code review workflows
Track record of shipping and maintaining apps live on the Play Store (App Store experience a plus)
Nice-to-Have
Working knowledge of Swift for native iOS development
Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android tooling
Familiarity with Firebase (Auth, Analytics, Push Notifications, Crashlytics)
Experience optimizing app performance, memory, and battery usage
Interest in gaming, live streaming, or the creator economy
Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment
