Senior Project Manager – Enterprise Technology Delivery
Location: Global Delivery Center (GDC), Noida, India – In Office
Experience: 5–10 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: IT Consulting & Technology Services
Role Overview
Solutionara is an AI-led, outcome-driven technology consulting firm delivering enterprise transformation programs across cloud, integration, data, digital platforms, enterprise applications, and AI.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Enterprise Technology Delivery with strong experience working within an IT consulting, technology services, systems integration, or professional services organization, managing technology programs and delivering solutions to external enterprise clients.
This is a client-facing delivery role. The Senior Project Manager owns project execution from initiation through delivery and closure and is accountable for scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, governance, stakeholder communication, resource coordination, and delivery predictability.
The ideal candidate has personally managed cross-functional technical teams and multiple workstreams rather than operating primarily as a client-side coordinator or relying on vendors/PMOs to perform core project-management activities.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Delivery
Own delivery of enterprise technology projects from initiation through planning, execution, go-live, stabilization, and closure.
Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, delivery schedules, and resource requirements.
Manage multiple concurrent workstreams across cloud, integration, data, digital, and enterprise application initiatives.
Ensure delivery commitments are measurable, achievable, and aligned with client expectations.
Drive projects toward agreed business outcomes rather than focusing only on completion of project activities.
Project Governance & Controls
Own project governance including status reporting, RAID management, action tracking, dependency management, decision logs, change control, and escalation.
Identify delivery risks early and establish mitigation and contingency plans.
Track actual progress against committed milestones and proactively address schedule or delivery variance.
Establish clear ownership and closure dates for risks, issues, actions, and dependencies.
Maintain accurate project documentation and governance evidence.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as a primary delivery contact for client stakeholders.
Lead client status meetings, governance reviews, steering discussions, and delivery escalations.
Communicate project health, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and decisions clearly to technical and executive stakeholders.
Manage difficult client conversations involving delays, scope changes, quality concerns, resource constraints, or missed commitments.
Build client confidence through transparency, accountability, and predictable execution.
Technical Delivery Coordination
Work closely with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Developers, Integration Engineers, Cloud/DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, QA teams, Business Analysts, and client stakeholders.
Understand technical dependencies sufficiently to challenge assumptions, identify delivery risks, and facilitate informed decisions.
Coordinate environment readiness, development, integration, testing, UAT, release, deployment, and production stabilization activities.
Manage dependencies involving third-party vendors and client technology teams.
Scope & Change Management
Establish and maintain clear project scope and acceptance criteria.
Identify scope creep and evaluate its impact on schedule, resources, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
Facilitate change-control processes and ensure material changes are documented and approved before execution.
Support estimation and impact assessment in partnership with technical leadership.
Resource & Delivery Management
Coordinate cross-functional project resources and ensure accountability for assigned deliverables.
Monitor capacity, utilization, dependencies, and delivery bottlenecks.
Resolve execution impediments and escalate resource constraints where necessary.
Hold workstream owners accountable for commitments without relying solely on status reporting.
Quality & Release Management
Ensure appropriate quality gates exist throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Coordinate defect management, UAT readiness, release planning, go-live readiness, and production stabilization.
Ensure critical defects and delivery risks are resolved or formally accepted before release.
Drive lessons learned and corrective actions following major incidents or delivery failures.
AI-Enabled Project Delivery
Use AI and automation responsibly to improve project planning, reporting, risk identification, meeting documentation, forecasting, and delivery visibility.
Identify opportunities to reduce manual PM administration while maintaining appropriate human review and accountability.
Encourage effective use of AI-enabled delivery practices across project teams where appropriate.
Required Experience
5–10 years of overall experience with significant experience in project management within IT consulting, technology services, systems integration, or professional services.
Demonstrated experience managing technology projects for external enterprise clients.
Hands-on ownership of project plans, RAID logs, governance, status reporting, scope management, dependencies, and delivery tracking.
Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and multiple concurrent workstreams.
Experience managing projects involving one or more of: enterprise integration/APIs, cloud/AWS, data platforms, enterprise applications, ERP modernization, digital platforms, or custom software development.
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Confluence, or equivalent.
Strong client-facing communication, facilitation, negotiation, and escalation-management skills.
Experience working with globally distributed teams and preferably U.S.-based or international clients.
Core Competencies to Assess
The interview should evaluate the candidate's demonstrated capability in:
End-to-end ownership of IT consulting projects.
Project planning and milestone management.
RAID and dependency management.
Scope and change control.
Delivery recovery when projects fall behind schedule.
Client-facing governance and executive communication.
Managing difficult client escalations.
Cross-functional technical delivery management.
Resource and capacity management.
Vendor and third-party dependency management.
Quality, UAT, release, and go-live governance.
Decision-making under delivery pressure.
Consulting mindset and client accountability.
AI-enabled project-management practices.
Ability to distinguish project status reporting from actual delivery management.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
Experience with enterprise transformation programs.
Experience working with U.S.-based enterprise clients.
Exposure to AWS/cloud, Boomi/integration, APIs, data engineering, ERP, or digital transformation projects.
Experience within a startup, mid-sized consulting organization, or Global Delivery Center environment.
What Success Looks Like
Success is measured by delivery outcomes, including:
Projects and milestones delivered predictably.
Risks and dependencies identified before they become critical issues.
Accurate project health and forecast visibility.
Effective management of scope and change.
Strong accountability across technical workstreams.
Timely resolution and escalation of delivery issues.
High-quality client communication and governance.
Controlled releases and successful production transitions.
Strong client confidence and stakeholder satisfaction.
Continuous improvement in delivery efficiency through appropriate use of AI, automation, and standardized project-management practices.
Important interview focus: Candidates should be asked for specific examples demonstrating what they personally owned, decided, tracked, escalated, and corrected. Strong candidates should be able to explain their project-management mechanisms, artifacts, decisions, metrics, and outcomes in detail. Candidates whose experience is primarily client-side oversight, status collection, or coordination where a vendor PM/PMO owned planning, RAID, delivery tracking, and execution should not be considered equivalent to hands-on Senior Project Manager experience in an IT consulting environment.
