We are looking for a detail-oriented QA / Test Engineer to join the Finesse product team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, functionality, and performance of the product through effective manual and automation testing.
The role involves working closely with Product, Development, Business, Support, and Implementation teams to understand requirements, identify defects, validate fixes, and ensure successful product releases.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, SQL, API testing, database validation, web applications, and end-to-end testing. Experience in fintech, lending, banking, or financial applications will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
Validate complete end-to-end business workflows across the Finesse application.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
Validate request/response data, status codes, authentication, error handling, and API integrations.
Perform database testing using SQL and validate data consistency between application, APIs, and databases.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects using the organization's defect management process.
Perform root-cause analysis in collaboration with developers for recurring or complex defects.
Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, defect triage, release planning, and retrospectives.
Conduct regression testing for product enhancements, bug fixes, and production releases.
Validate integrations with external systems, third-party services, and financial APIs.
Ensure critical business and financial calculations are accurately validated.
Support UAT, implementation, production deployment, and post-release validation when required.
Maintain appropriate QA documentation in accordance with the organization's quality and ISO processes.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve test coverage, testing efficiency, and overall product quality.
