Integration Developer - Camel, Quarkus, Kafka, JMS & OpenShift
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer with strong expertise in Apache Camel, Quarkus, and enterprise integration patterns to design, develop, and support scalable API and event-driven solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Kafka, JMS messaging systems, and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), enabling the development and deployment of cloud-native integration services.
The role involves designing and implementing REST APIs, asynchronous messaging solutions, microservices, and enterprise integrations while ensuring high availability, security, performance, and maintainability.
The candidate should have more than 2 Years Experience in Apache Camel.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration services using Apache Camel and Camel Quarkus.
Build cloud-native microservices and APIs using Quarkus.
Implement integration patterns such as Content-Based Router, Splitter, Aggregator, Circuit Breaker, Message Translator, and Dead Letter Channel.
Develop synchronous and asynchronous integrations between internal and external systems.
Design reusable integration components and frameworks.
API Development & Management
Design and develop RESTful APIs following industry standards and API-first principles.
Implement API security using OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, Keycloak, and client credential flows.
Develop API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
Integrate with API Management platforms such as 3scale, Kong, or Apigee (preferred).
Messaging & Event Streaming
Develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
Design and implement Kafka Producers, Consumers, Topics, Consumer Groups, and Event Processing workflows.
Build reliable asynchronous integrations using JMS (ActiveMQ, Artemis, IBM MQ, etc.).
Implement message transformation, routing, retry mechanisms, and dead-letter queue processing.
OpenShift & Cloud-Native Development
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them on Red Hat OpenShift Platform (OCP).
Create and manage OpenShift resources including Deployments, Services, Routes, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes.
Support CI/CD deployment pipelines for integration services.
Optimize containerized applications for scalability and performance.
Monitoring & Support
Implement logging, tracing, and monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
Ensure application availability, reliability, and performance.
Collaboration
Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, DevOps teams, and external vendors.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices and development standards.
