As Lead QA Automation Architect, you will own the complete testing strategy and automation architecture for high-throughput, cloud-native services running on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). You will bridge quality engineering, platform engineering, and core software development—establishing technical standards that keep our containerized infrastructure resilient, scalable, and continuously deployed. This is a full-time, onsite lead position requiring direct experience scaling automation frameworks inside Kubernetes ecosystems.
Architect, build, and maintain enterprise test automation frameworks designed specifically for GKE-hosted microservices.
Embed automated regression, integration, contract, and performance test suites directly into Kubernetes deployment pipelines.
Design and manage ephemeral, containerized test environments within GKE clusters using Helm, Terraform, and custom operators.
Set global quality benchmarks, technical standards, and code review criteria across engineering teams.
Lead and mentor senior quality engineers while working alongside platform architects to establish robust observability and defect-tracking pipelines.
10+ years in software quality engineering, with at least 3 years as a Lead or Principal QA Architect.
Deep expertise building test automation frameworks from scratch for applications deployed on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Advanced proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for developing robust test tooling and framework infrastructure.
Hands-on technical skill with Docker, Kubernetes orchestration (`kubectl`, custom CRDs), and CI/CD platforms (ArgoCD, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
Strong experience with API contract testing (Pact), distributed load testing (k6, Locust), and service mesh architectures (Istio).
Requirement to work full-time onsite at our primary office location.
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification.
Experience implementing chaos engineering tools (Chaos Mesh, Litmus) within live Kubernetes clusters.
Background with telemetry and distributed tracing systems (OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, Prometheus).
