About the RoleWe're looking for strong Backend Engineers who enjoy building high-performance, low-latency software for real-world warehouse automation and robotics. We are building a Warehouse Operating System, a software platform that transforms a manual warehouse into an intelligent, automated warehouse by orchestrating business processes, inventory and multiple robotic agents such as ASRS, SPMs, AMRs and AGVs.What You'll Work On
Build high-performance, low-latency and concurrency-intensive backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, with event-driven architectures and technologies such as Kafka, REST and gRPC
Develop applications for WCS, WES and warehouse automation systems
Design and develop warehouse/intralogistics process orchestration, inventory management workflows and a Fleet Management System (FMS) involving multiple robotic agents
Solve real-world challenging problems around concurrency, reliability, scalability and real-time system coordination involving different robotic agents and systems across warehouse and manufacturing environments
Build software that integrates business processes, warehouse execution and robotic automation
What We're Looking For
Strong backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot
Strong understanding of event-driven and distributed systems, with hands-on experience building microservices and working with technologies such as Kafka, REST and gRPC
Experience building high-performance and low-latency applications, with a good understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency and system design
Strong understanding of warehouse/intralogistics workflows, process orchestration, inventory management, WCS, WES, FMS, warehouse automation or robotics
Experience working with or integrating robotic systems such as ASRS, SPM, AMR or AGV is a strong plus
