Join our revenue cycle team to take direct ownership of outstanding provider-side claims, resolve complex denials, and maximize cash flow. As a mid-level AR Caller, you will engage directly with commercial and government payers to audit unpaid claims, execute appeals, and secure accurate reimbursement for healthcare providers.
Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable past 30, 60, and 90+ days via phone and payer web portals.
Analyze claim denials, identify root causes—such as eligibility discrepancies, coding errors, or authorization gaps—and take corrective action.
Draft and submit formal appeals with supporting documentation to overturn rejections from commercial and government payers.
Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) to ensure accurate payment posting and adjustments.
Maintain meticulous logs in the practice management system detailing claim status, payer conversations, and anticipated resolution dates.
Spot recurring billing errors or clearinghouse rejections and report trends to RCM leadership.
2 to 4 years of direct AR calling experience on the provider side of US healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
Demonstrated ability to interpret Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARC) and Remittance Advice Remark Codes (RARC).
Solid working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial payer guidelines, timely filing deadlines, and appeal protocols.
Proven history of reducing aged A/R and resolving complex claim disputes.
Ability to work 100% onsite at our designated location during standard operating hours.
Experience with major practice management platforms such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, or Kareo.
Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential.
Prior experience handling multi-specialty provider billing.
