Job Duties/Responsibilities

Lead overall operations for multiple coding verticals (Outpatient, Inpatient, Professional, HCC, Specialty)
Ensure each project/team meets 100% productivity and ≥98% quality benchmarks
Oversee operational performance, resource allocation, and risk management across teams
Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and quarterly reviews
Monitor compliance with HIPAA, CMS regulations, and payer-specific guidelines
Review and approve high-priority coding cases, audits, and exception reports
Transition of new clients
Client queries are responded on time
Calculate and monitor AHT for each process
New Tools – Update and learn about the new tools and train the team

General Responsibilities:

Conduct strategic meetings with the Director of Service Delivery to review project performance
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and skill development for the leadership pipeline
Implement process automation or workflow enhancements for operational scalability
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across teams
Representing the Coding & Education department in leadership meetings and client governance calls
Impart client education to improve on documentation

Measurables (Key Performance Indicators – KPIs):

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent demonstrated academic achievement in Life Science.
10+ years’ experience in the Medical Coding industry out of which 5+ years in Managerial experience.
Knowledge in Multi specialties
Credential from AAPC (CPC) / AHIMA (CCS) is mandatory

Required Skills:

Expert level of knowledge of ICD, CPT & HCPCS coding standards & policy guidelines across all specialties
