We are seeking a proactive Executive for our Stores Department at a Cement Plant. This role is critical for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials and spare parts, directly impacting our operational efficiency and production targets. Manage daily stores operations, including material receipt, inspection coordination, storage, and issuance.
Ensure proper material stacking, identification, preservation, and overall store housekeeping.
Monitor stock levels to maintain optimum inventory, preventing operational disruptions.
Verify all material receipts against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
Ensure real-time, accurate inward and outward entries in ERP/SAP systems.
Maintain precise inventory records and conduct periodic cycle counts and annual physical stock verification.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement effective corrective actions.
Track and manage slow-moving, non-moving, surplus, and obsolete inventory.
Generate critical MIS reports on inventory status, valuation, consumption trends, and stock aging.
Coordinate proactively with Procurement for timely material delivery and with Maintenance and Production for requirement planning.
Uphold strict compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and EHS guidelines for material handling and storage.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
Participate in inventory optimization, cost-reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
4-5 years of proven experience in Stores or Materials Management.
Industry background in Cement, Manufacturing, Process Industry, Steel, Power, Mining, or Heavy Engineering.
Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems for inventory management and transaction processing.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate inventory records and execute physical verification.
Strong understanding of material preservation techniques for diverse plant items.
Effective coordination and communication skills with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Maintenance, Production, Quality, Finance).
