The Assistant Engineer / Engineer (CCR Operator) is responsible for operating and monitoring the cement plant process through CCR/DCS to ensure smooth and efficient plant operation. The role focuses on maintaining production targets, ensuring product quality, optimizing process parameters, and following safety and environmental standards.
Operate and monitor Raw Mill, Kiln, Cement Mill, and auxiliary systems through CCR/DCS.
Maintain process parameters such as temperature, pressure, feed rate, and draft within target limits.
Ensure stable plant operation during start-up, shutdown, and normal running conditions.
Monitor alarms, interlocks, and process trends for smooth operation.
Monitor process performance and take corrective action during process disturbances.
Coordinate with Quality Control team for maintaining clinker and cement quality.
Support optimization of heat consumption, power consumption, and production efficiency.
Identify process abnormalities and report major deviations.
Follow plant SOPs, safety procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
Ensure compliance with environmental and pollution control norms.
Report unsafe conditions and participate in safety activities and audits.
Maintain housekeeping standards in CCR and operational areas.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation departments during breakdowns and maintenance activities.
Support field teams during operational adjustments and inspections.
Assist in troubleshooting operational issues to minimize downtime.
Participate in shutdown and preventive maintenance activities.
Maintain shift operation logs, process records, and production reports.
Record process deviations, corrective actions, and operational observations.
Prepare daily shift reports and communicate operational status during shift handover.
Maintain DCS trends and operational data for analysis.
Stable plant operation with minimum process interruptions
