Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Business Head – Corporate Insurance Sales to lead business growth, client acquisition, and relationship management across the assigned region. The incumbent will be responsible for driving revenue, managing a team of Relationship Managers, developing strategic corporate relationships, and delivering customized insurance solutions to corporate clients.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience in corporate insurance sales, and a proven track record of achieving business targets while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate segment.
Generate revenue through corporate insurance solutions and strategic client acquisition.
Drive regional business growth and ensure achievement of assigned sales targets.
Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize market penetration.
2. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients and stakeholders.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term engagement.
Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client requirements and offering appropriate insurance solutions.
3. Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) and Senior Relationship Managers (SRMs).
Drive team performance through regular coaching, monitoring, and performance reviews.
Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and results.
4. Insurance Advisory & Solution Selling
Conduct detailed needs analysis to understand clients' risk management and insurance requirements.
Recommend suitable insurance solutions, including Group Health, Employee Benefits, Property, Liability, Motor, and Specialty Insurance products.
Ensure effective presentation of insurance solutions to corporate clients.
5. Proposal Management & Policy Implementation
Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and presentations to prospective clients.
Coordinate with insurers and internal teams to ensure seamless policy issuance and implementation.
Oversee premium collection, policy servicing, and claims support processes.
6. Renewal & Portfolio Management
Manage renewal cycles for existing corporate accounts.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client base.
Ensure high retention ratios and portfolio profitability.
7. Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations, company policies, and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate sales records, MIS reports, and pipeline management.
8. Target Achievement
Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
Monitor team productivity and profitability metrics.
Contribute significantly to the organization's growth objectives.
Candidate Requirements
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field.
MBA or Postgraduate qualification will be preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Corporate Insurance Sales, Insurance Broking, or General Insurance.
Minimum 3 years of experience in leading and managing a team of at least 5–6 Relationship Managers/Senior Relationship Managers.
Proven experience in business development, client acquisition, and account management within the corporate insurance domain.

Familiarity with CRM tools, digital sales platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
