Position Intern - PGET & GET Internship
Duration - 12 Months
Location - Hosur, Tamil Nadu (Wakefit Manufacturing Facility)
Wakefit is launching a 12-month Graduate Internship Program to onboard high-potential engineering students who are passionate about manufacturing, product development, procurement, and operations. This program is designed to provide hands-on industry exposure through live projects, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship from experienced professionals. Outstanding performers may be considered for full-time employment based on business requirements and individual performance.
Support New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Launch (NPL) activities. ‘
Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Coordinate with Design, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Planning teams.
Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend productivity improvements.
Work on process optimization, cycle time reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.
Conduct raw material research and supplier benchmarking.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project presentations.
Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
