SoSC - MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL Programmer - 9707

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Analyze the SCDMV Phoenix II, Web Service, and batch business applications

2. Take the lead in analyzing and trouble-shooting assigned system problems

3. Propose solutions

4. Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solution meets requirements.

5. Provide daily and weekly status to the development manager.

Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):

1. 8+ Years of Development with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL in Windows Server 2019/2022, batch and under IIS. 

2. 4+ Years Experience with Visual Studio 2019/2022 including the ability to use the debugger

3. 4+ Years of Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, SQL).

4. Bachelor’s degree in IT, OR related discipline with 8 years of experience or minimum 10 years related experience without degree

Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):

1. Experience with MICROFOCUS COBOL Version 7 and higher

2. Ability to write complex queries using SQL for Oracle and MS SQL DB.

3. IIS Configuration/Setup

4. Skilled in C# and .NET

5. Microsoft Certification – please indicate specific certificate on resume

6. Microfocus Certification – please indicate specific certificate on resume
