SAP Costing (CO-PC) Consultant

Job Description:
Costing implementation in SAP S/4HANA. Reviewing and enhancing the existing standard costing setup, and designing a structured approach to capture and report actual production costs for improved cost transparency and variance analysis.
Scope of Work:
Review and validate existing standard costing configuration (costing variant PPC1, BOMs, routings, price release process); identify gaps or inconsistencies impacting accuracy or variance reporting; recommend and implement adjustments to improve reliability and integration across FI, CO, and MM
Design and enable actual cost reporting framework: capture actual cost components (material, labor, overhead) at Product Cost Collector (PCC) and material document level; design logic to allocate actual overhead costs based on cost center data and drivers (labor hours, machine time); introduce enhancements (custom fields, calculations) to reflect total actual cost at order or material level
Support periodic allocation of indirect costs (utilities, indirect labor) to production orders based on actual consumption drivers; design and implement logic to compute and store order-level actual overhead values for internal reporting
Provide mechanism to compare actual costs against standard costs per product/order; enable reconciliation between standard and actual values for financial analysis and root cause identification
Configure account-based CO-PA to capture actual cost data aligned with business characteristics (product hierarchy, material group, product type); design structured reports and dashboards using standard SAP tools for Finance and Business teams
Collaborate with business and finance stakeholders to align costing enhancements with operational and compliance needs; deliver knowledge transfer and documentation
