Job Title - DLT Technology Lead – Blockchain & Digital Assets
Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled DLT Technology Lead – Blockchain & Digital Assets to lead the architecture, design, and implementation support of enterprise-grade distributed ledger and blockchain-based technology solutions. The role is focused on defining secure, scalable, and compliant DLT platforms and associated digital asset technology capabilities within a regulated financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in distributed ledger technology, Hyperledger platforms, smart contracts, tokenization frameworks, wallet and custody architecture, and enterprise integration. The role requires close collaboration with business, enterprise architecture, security, compliance, risk, and engineering teams to translate emerging blockchain and digital asset concepts into practical, production-ready technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:-
Technology Strategy and Architecture
Lead the technology design and architecture for blockchain, digital asset, and DLT-related initiatives.
Define end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise blockchain platforms and digital asset technology capabilities.
Evaluate and recommend suitable DLT frameworks, deployment models, and platform patterns, including permissioned and hybrid architectures.
Produce architecture documents, technical designs, deployment models, and implementation roadmaps.
Distributed Ledger Platform Design
Provide deep subject matter expertise in enterprise blockchain technologies, especially Hyperledger and related platforms.
Design blockchain network architecture, node setup, privacy and permissioning models, consensus approach, and ledger operating model.
Define patterns for on-chain and off-chain processing, data synchronization, reconciliation, and auditability.
Guide technical teams on platform setup, design standards, and operational considerations.
Smart Contracts and Digital Asset Frameworks
Define and review smart contract architecture, standards, lifecycle controls, and governance frameworks.
Design technology patterns for programmable assets, transaction logic, workflow automation, and digital asset lifecycle management.
Ensure smart contract implementation follows security, maintainability, versioning, and control standards.
Support evaluation of tokenization frameworks and digital asset lifecycle platforms.
Wallet, Custody, and Key Management
Define secure architecture for wallet and custody capabilities suitable for institutional and enterprise use cases.
Evaluate models such as self-custody, third-party custody, MPC-based solutions, and HSM-integrated key management.
Define controls for key generation, storage, signing, approvals, segregation of duties, recovery, and operational resilience.
Work with cyber security and infrastructure teams to ensure strong security and control standards are embedded into the design.
Enterprise Integration and Engineering Oversight
Define integration architecture between DLT platforms and enterprise applications using APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
Support integration with internal systems such as core platforms, finance systems, workflow systems, reporting platforms, and channels as applicable.
Guide engineering teams on transaction orchestration, exception handling, reconciliation, and operational monitoring.
Ensure the overall solution aligns with enterprise technology standards and implementation principles.
Security, Control, and Governance
Ensure DLT solutions are designed with enterprise-grade security, resilience, auditability, and operational controls.
Identify technology risks related to blockchain operations, smart contracts, private keys, wallets, and third-party platforms.
Work with risk, compliance, legal, and audit stakeholders to ensure internal governance and regulatory expectations are appropriately addressed.
Contribute to control design for access management, transaction approval workflows, monitoring, and incident response.
Vendor Evaluation and Delivery Support
Assess blockchain, tokenization, custody, and wallet vendors from a technical architecture and implementation perspective.
Support RFPs, technical workshops, due diligence, and proof-of-concept activities.
Provide structured recommendations on scalability, interoperability, security, operational readiness, and platform suitability.
Support delivery teams and vendors during implementation to ensure solutions are built in line with architecture intent.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
Act as the internal technology lead for blockchain, digital asset, and DLT-related initiatives.
Provide guidance to architecture, engineering, and business teams on best practices and implementation approaches.
Explain complex DLT concepts in a structured and simple way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Drive alignment across multiple teams in an evolving technology landscape.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:-
Experience
10+ years of overall technology experience, with at least 5+ years of relevant experience in blockchain / DLT / digital asset technologies
Strong hands-on experience in enterprise blockchain architecture and implementation
Proven experience in designing and delivering secure, scalable, enterprise-grade DLT solutions
Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, or other regulated environments

Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD for blockchain environments
Understanding of financial transaction processing, controls, reconciliation, and audit requirements
Knowledge of secure smart contract review and governance practices
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
Master’s degree is an advantage
Relevant blockchain certifications preferred
Cloud and security certifications are a plus
