About Edvak
Edvak builds software for healthcare practices in the United States. Our Quality Engineers work inside product teams and make sure what we ship works for the clinics that rely on it.
The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will test our product hands-on and help us start automating. About 60% of your time goes into manual and exploratory testing of new features and releases. The rest goes into building automated tests for our key workflows, using AI tools to move fast. This is a startup: you'll help shape how quality works here, not just follow a process.
Key Responsibilities
- Test new features and releases hands-on: functional, regression and exploratory testing
- Turn requirements into clear test scenarios, including edge cases
- Write bug reports that developers can act on quickly
- Test APIs and check data in the database
- Build automated tests for our most important workflows, starting with the riskiest ones
- Use AI tools to write test cases and tests, generate test data and speed up testing
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software testing experience
- Strong manual and exploratory testing: you find the bugs others miss
- Some hands-on test automation with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium (work or personal projects)
- API testing with Postman or similar
- Basic SQL or MongoDB queries to check data
- Hands-on use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or Cursor) in your work
Preferred Qualifications
- Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Running tests in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins)
- Experience at a product company or startup
- Healthcare or SaaS experience
