Join our Mines & Geology team in Meghalaya as a Junior or Assistant Geologist. This onsite role offers a unique opportunity to directly contribute to critical geological exploration, mine planning, and limestone resource evaluation activities, working hands-on to ensure accurate data collection and efficient project execution.
Conduct geological and topographical surveys; assist with structural mapping of limestone deposits.
Prepare detailed geological maps, cross-sections, and stratigraphic interpretations.
Identify and record geological features relevant to mining operations and support reserve/resource estimation.
Assist in planning and monitoring core drilling activities, including marking borehole locations using GPS.
Perform core logging, maintain geological logbooks, and accurately record lithological, structural, and geotechnical data.
Supervise sample collection and ensure proper handling procedures.
Compile, analyze, and report geological data from field investigations and drilling programs.
Prepare geological sections, reports, presentations, and maintain databases/exploration records.
Provide geological inputs for mine planning, production activities, grade control, and raw material quality monitoring.
Ensure strict adherence to mine safety regulations, company policies, and statutory/environmental requirements.
Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Geology.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Basic knowledge of geology, mineral exploration, and limestone deposits.
Proficiency in geological mapping, survey techniques, and familiarity with GPS, Compass, and surveying equipment.
Basic understanding of core logging and sample analysis.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, Google Earth Pro, and proficiency in MS Office.
Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication, reporting, and team collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in field and mining environments.
