Lead critical day-to-day fleet operations for IRPL within our Logistics & Transportation department. This senior-level, onsite role is pivotal in ensuring optimal vehicle utilization, seamless dispatches, rigorous maintenance coordination, and 100% statutory compliance, directly impacting our operational efficiency.
Coordinate daily fleet deployment and scheduling based on transportation requirements.
Maximize utilization of both company-owned and attached vehicles.
Monitor vehicle movement and optimize turnaround times across all routes.
Oversee and coordinate all preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Ensure full statutory compliance, including validity of permits, insurance, fitness certificates, road tax, and pollution certificates.
Liaise effectively with drivers and external transport vendors for smooth operations.
Generate accurate daily, weekly, and monthly fleet Management Information System (MIS) reports.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet utilization, fuel consumption, downtime, and compliance.
Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
5–8 years of experience in fleet operations, transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
Proven expertise in Fleet Operations Management and Transportation Planning.
Strong background in Vehicle Maintenance Coordination and Compliance Management.
Proficiency in GPS Monitoring and Vendor Coordination.
Skilled in MIS and Data Analysis.
Demonstrated ability in Problem Solving and Decision Making.
Strong Teamwork and Communication skills.
