Join our team in Meghalaya as an Executive/Sr. Executive – EHS and play a pivotal role in ensuring zero harm and sustainable operations at our cement plant. This is a hands-on opportunity to implement robust EHS systems, champion a proactive safety culture, and drive continuous environmental improvement initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable EHS laws, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and audits across plant areas.
Monitor critical safety procedures including Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, confined space entry, work at height, and hot work.
Maintain statutory records, licenses, and documentation; coordinate with government authorities during inspections.
Perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for plant activities and facilitate Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents; perform root cause analysis and track corrective actions.
Monitor environmental parameters (air emissions, dust, noise, wastewater) and ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board norms.
Organize and deliver EHS training, safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and mock drills.
Support emergency response planning, conduct drills, and ensure readiness of equipment.
Manage contractor safety by monitoring compliance, conducting audits, and verifying personnel competency.
Maintain EHS records, reports, SOPs, and checklists; support internal/external audits (ISO 14001, 45001) and prepare performance reports.
3-4 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety.
B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety, or M.Sc/B.Sc in a related environmental field.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
In-depth knowledge of Factory Act, Mines Act, Environment Protection Act, and relevant EHS regulations.
Understanding of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems.
Demonstrated skills in incident investigation, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and hazard identification.
Knowledge of emergency response and firefighting systems.
Strong safety mindset, commitment to compliance, and excellent analytical skills.
Effective communication, training, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
High ownership, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Safety certifications such as ADIS/PDIS/NEBOSH.
Previous experience working in a cement manufacturing environment.
