Purpose
Owns test strategy and execution across the programme, and builds the regression coverage that makes each successive release safe to deploy. Two roles: one lead, one automation engineer.
Key responsibilities
Own the test strategy, test plan and entry and exit criteria for each milestone.
Write and execute system and integration test cases for each application.
Test the record-level security model explicitly: prove that each user sees only what they should. This is the highest-risk area in the migration.
Validate data migration output against the reconciliation reports.
Build automated regression coverage for the shared services and the repeated application patterns. (Automation)
Run defect triage; maintain the defect log and quality metrics.
Support client through UAT and drive defects to closure inside the scheduled window.
Essential experience
6+ years QA
Test automation on web applications: Playwright, Selenium or equivalent, for the automation role.
Testing Power Platform applications, or strong transferable enterprise application testing.
Security and permissions testing.
Desirable
Power Platform test experience
API testing with Postman or equivalent.
Data quality or migration testing background.
