Key responsibilities
Own the integration design for the applications that carry external dependencies.
Configure and operate the on-premises data gateway.
Build and maintain custom connectors where no standard or premium connector exists.
Implement SQL Server, SFTP file transfer and directory service interfaces.
Design authentication and secret handling for each interface.
Design error handling: retry, throttling, dead-lettering, and alerting on failure.
Support the Solution Architect on API request budgeting, since each flow action is metered.
Essential experience
6+ years integration development, at least 2 on Power Platform.
Power Platform custom connectors, on-premises data gateway, premium connectors.
REST and OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, certificate and key management.
SQL Server, SFTP, and LDAP or Entra ID directory integration.
Azure Functions or Logic Apps for logic that does not belong in a cloud flow.
Desirable
IBM DB2 or mainframe-adjacent integration.
Service Bus or event-driven patterns.
