What you'll be working on
We are hiring a Business Development Manager, a hunter, to open new business for ZEISS VisioGen, an AI patient-communication platform for ophthalmology practices. This is a pure new-logo role: you find the practices, run the first conversation, carry the deal to a signed contract, and hand the account to the customer success team. You will be deployed with the VisioGen team through RemoteEngine, ZEISS's development and staffing partner.
You are a good fit if you are happiest in the front of the funnel, measured on new ARR, and comfortable selling a clinical-workflow product to practice owners, medical directors and practice administrators in the US.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
Own a new-business quota for VisioGen and be measured on new logos and new ARR closed
Build your own pipeline: research and map US ophthalmology practices, identify decision makers, and run multi-channel outbound (email, phone, LinkedIn, conferences, referrals)
Qualify opportunities, run discovery calls and product demos, and position VisioGen against the practice's current patient-communication workflow
Build the business case for the practice: staff time saved, faster patient response, conversion of surgical inquiries
Manage the full cycle from first touch to signed agreement, including pricing conversations, procurement, and HIPAA/compliance questions with the support of the VisioGen team
Keep the CRM accurate and forecast weekly; report pipeline, conversion, and win/loss to the VisioGen leadership
Hand closed accounts to onboarding and customer success with a clean brief of what was promised
Feed field insight back to product and marketing: objections, competitor moves, feature requests, messaging that lands
Represent VisioGen at ophthalmology trade shows and practice-management events as needed
Requirements
What we're looking for
MBA / PGDM in Marketing from a top-tier institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, or equivalent)
3 to 8 years in B2B sales. Not less than 3, not more than 8; profiles outside this range will not be considered.
At least 2 years in a quota-carrying new-business (hunting) role with a proven record of closing new logos. B2B SaaS, healthtech, or medical devices preferred.
Your CV must state the sales/revenue numbers you owned and delivered (quota, revenue closed, new logos) and the growth you drove (year-on-year or against target). CVs without these numbers will not be shortlisted.
Notice period: less than 60 days, or able to join within 60 days of the offer.
Good to have: Sold into US healthcare providers, clinics, or physician practices; understands HIPAA, practice decision cycles, and how practices buy software.
Good to have: Exposure to ophthalmology, optometry, or elective/refractive surgery markets
Good to have: Experience selling AI, workflow, or patient engagement. SaaS with a demo-led motion
Good to have: Comfortable working US hours (EST/PST overlap) and with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
Good to have: Evidence of building a territory or pipeline from zero rather than inheriting accounts
Traits we look for: resilient and self-driven in outbound; a crisp communicator in writing and on calls; curious about the clinical workflow behind the product; honest about pipeline and forecast; closes without over-promising.
