Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python, Django, Django REST Framework, MySQL, Redis/Celery, and AI/LLM integration to build scalable backend services for the BuildPiper product.

Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
Design and develop scalable backend services using Python, Django and Django REST Framework.
Build and optimize REST APIs and backend workflows.
Develop clean, reusable and maintainable code.
Participate in system design, code reviews and technical discussions.
Database & Performance
Work with MySQL for database design and optimization.
Optimize queries, indexes and transactions.
Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues.
Async Processing
Work with Redis, Celery and background processing.
Develop asynchronous and distributed workflows.
Implement reliable job processing and error handling.
AI / LLM Integration
Develop and integrate AI/LLM-powered features.
Work with LLM APIs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Embeddings and AI Agents.
Integrate AI capabilities into backend applications and workflows.
DevOps & Cloud
Work with CI/CD pipelines covering build, testing, security scanning and deployment.
Experience with Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaborate with DevOps teams for application deployment and production support.
Production & Collaboration
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Improve application performance, scalability and reliability.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Required Skills
4–5 years of backend development experience
Strong hands-on Python, Django & Django REST Framework
Strong MySQL and database optimization knowledge
Redis / Celery or equivalent asynchronous processing
Practical experience with AI/LLM application development
Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OOP and System Design
Experience with Git, Docker & Kubernetes
Good to Have
RAG, Embeddings and AI Agents
LLM APIs such as OpenAI / Azure OpenAI
Cloud platforms – AWS / Azure / GCP
Microservices architecture
