We are scaling our connected hardware ecosystem and need a Junior-to-Mid-level Embedded Developer to own firmware deployment for our next-generation IoT devices. Working fully remotely, you will transition prototype designs into production-ready silicon, collaborating directly with our lead hardware architects. This is a high-autonomy role designed for an engineer ready to bypass corporate bureaucracy and take direct ownership of code deployed globally.
Write, debug, and optimize production-grade firmware in C and C++ for resource-constrained microcontrollers.
Configure and integrate hardware peripherals using I2C, SPI, and UART communication protocols.
Collaborate with hardware teams during board bring-up, diagnosing signal integrity and firmware bugs.
Develop clean driver code to interface with sensors, actuators, and wireless transceivers.
Maintain and expand local and remote hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing rigs.
1 to 3 years of professional experience writing firmware in C/C++.
Proven experience implementing and debugging I2C, SPI, and UART interfaces.
Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M or equivalent microcontroller architectures.
Ability to read schematics and use debugging tools like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
Proficiency with Git and command-line build systems.
Experience deploying low-power IoT devices using cellular (LTE-M/NB-IoT), Wi-Fi, or BLE.
Familiarity with FreeRTOS or other real-time operating systems.
Basic Python scripting skills for automating hardware tests.
Competitive salary and equity package.
100% remote work with flexible core hours.
Comprehensive home lab budget to purchase oscilloscopes, development boards, and testing equipment.
Direct mentorship from senior firmware architects to accelerate your transition to a senior-level engineer.
